LA 2004 had players past their prime, we just didn't quite know it...Malone, Payton, Mitch Richmond, etc.

The Lakers just got killed (dubbed the 5 game sweep, remember?). They didn't really choke. That Pistons team played wicked defense and was just plain better.

I know I was joking. I was rooting for the jazz that year thou, I thought they could take the bulls. The bulls had been taken to 7 by Indiana and the jazz were well rested after embarrassing the lakers.
