Won the series, RPI in 20's, need UGA to not win SEC Tourney and it wouldn't hurt if Auburn went 0-2 in Hoover...but to finish 1game out of winning the West bodes well for this team.

Who cares just get them in....they are playing good ball. Should have swept this weekend...but this things happen. I am very proud of this team for coming out today and finishing off a quality weekend.
Nobody wants to see them in their regional.
I actually think not getting to Hoover May help this team- get a little rest and get ready to go on the road.

How is our RPI so good ? Other than CSU-Fullerton, we've lost to every good team we've played ? Swept by 3 of them.

RPI was 28 entering the weekend, it can only improve with the series win.

Because we played a good schedule....losing to Florida and Vandy helps actually because they are all so good.
Winning this series will only help. I believe they said they will have 30 at large spots, there are not 30 teams better than LSU.
Keep in mind many of the top temas will earn automatic bids.
This is very similar to the NCAA basketball tourney- we would probably be the last 4 in at this point.

How much bitching are we going to hear if we actually do something in the regional and possibly beyond?

Doesn't matter to me...I believe the 9th seeded UCONN basketball team won the whole damn thing.

I hope we get in and think we should/will.

14. Arkansas, 33-17 (which will be higher having won the series against 37)
24. LSU, 33-19 (which will be higher having won the series against 25)
25. MSU, 32-19 (which will be lower having dropped the series to 24)
27. Auburn, 28-24 (which will be substantially lower having dropped the series to 127)

The committee's not going to punish us for being 9th. They're going to see

and basically consider us all the same with respect to conference finish.
Arky's the only 100% lock of a bid. There will probably be one other team that does well in Hoover and cements their worth. After that, there's a good chance we're the next West team in. I don't see how we don't make it.

It is kind of not so bad we missed the tourney. Every pitcher will be ready and well be pretty under the radar considering our record.

Not any more than Oregon St. did when they got a regional 4 spot and wound up winning the whole thing.
