Does anyone know what happened to this stuff after the buy out? I remember as a kid it kicked arse. Surely it was some 3dr party who made it for them, thus it has to be out there under some brand still.

I thought this too. I remember right after the sale they said they would use the same recipe. Don't know if they still use the same formula now or not.

I have a friend that was a K&B manager, he says K&B had an ice cream plant in NO.

I was never a fan of the K&B Creole Cream Cheese ice cream.

Yep, the Elmwood distribution center for K&B has a huge freezer facility in which they made the ice cream. From what I hear the would use butter cream to make the ice cream -- same way Crole Creamery makes their stuff.

A K&B nectar soda was an experience. We used to go to the one at Broadway & St.Charles for counter service.
Why did we take great things like that for granted until they are gone forever? One of the reasons I treasure any food with Louisiana roots. Technology, we ain't so hot, food products, I trust the local stuff 1st.
