4 year old likes Star Wars, to young?

Is a 4 year old to young to start watching and liking Star Wars, Darth Vader and the sword fighting stuff? I'm not really liking it but don't know what to do. I think he's to young to watch a mature show like this.

I watched it so young that I don't even remember the first time I watched Star Wars, and I have a good memory for these types of things. I'm going to take a guess I first watched it around that age, so I think he's fine.

I started to love Star Wars when I was 5 or 6. I had all the action figures and everything.

my 3 year old loves it and he and his 5 year old brother beat each other relentlessly with plastic lightsabers when they aren't watching it to their great delight.

No. I was watching it prior to 4.

One of my earliest memories is when I was 3-4 waiting in a long arse line outside some 2 screen theater in Baton Rouge to see Star Wars. Kids understand the difference between fantasy and reality. They also know the difference between fighting and play fighting. As long as you've established firm boundaries regarding their conduct, you shouldn't worry about a movie undermining your parental authority.

My 4 y/o daughter loves it.

Thanks guys for letting me know it's ok to let a 4 year old watch this show.
I've never really been into so I watched it with him a few times lately and thought it might be to mature but sounds like it's a classic that all little boys love.

No one else said it, so I'll add: It's never to early to learn the ways of the Force, young padawan.

I can still remember the first time I pushed down the big two-way button on top of my woodgrain cable box to the HBO channel. I heard some intense drum beats and saw a logo that forever changed my life. It was 1982, and I was 5. The 20th Century Fox intro had just died down, and John William's classic space symphony blasted through our large, wooden-encased television. I was hooked for life.

What?
You do realize it is a kids' movie. The stars joked about it on set all the time. Even the studio didn't like it at first. Felt a kids movie wouldn't get them a return on investment.
