It is a bad arse Item but its a not a game used ball and it had to have been made after 1958. I might pay $500.00 but thats about it. Im not knocking the guy, Im just wondering if its a mis-print

I've got an autographed ball from the 1958 team. It's in much better condition, even if the ink is fading.

If he gets $50k for that, I'm selling mine and paying off my house!

$50K is simply outrageous, for that price you could get some incredible historic items, LSU related or not. He should be happy if he could get $500; as someone mentioned, it would be more valuable, if he had proof that it was a game used ball, or some other significance.

There is no way it could be a game used ball. If it was, it would have had to been used in the 59 sugar bowl (LSU was voted champs before the Bowl) or it would have had to have been used in 59. Im sure its a commemorative ball. Im not sure but i dont thnk game balls were inscribed like that. Its a cool, old, item. But not 50K cool

If you had 50k to burn, would you really be looking for items on craigslist?

It brought back memories. Anyone else remember footballs without stripes. Those were so cool.

No Rick appreciates historical value and often over pays for it.

He would pay $50, I'm sure of it.

$50,000.00 really? That guy is not too bright.

Coonass! Good to see you back! AT has been posting some of his new purchases, have you added anything new to your collection lately?
Not really collector items, but I got some Tiger Stadium pics of the original stands and the full bowl to complete my TS montage

Assuming the ball weighs about 1 pound, that puts it at roughly twice the cost of GOLD.

"Also in the museum is the game ball from when LSU's football team defeated the Clemson Tigers 7-0 at the 1958 Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day."

A fricking signed game-used Lou Gehrig jersey isn't worth $50K.
