Lamar Odom to win 6th man of the year

despite starting 35 games.

The most information I could find on the criteria was that you had to come off the bench more games than you started in order to be eligible.

35 starts seems like too many to be eligible for a non-starter award. Perhaps they should change it to 25 or more starts makes you ineligible for the award.

When they are at full strength he is their 6th man.

Exactly. Majority of those starts are probably because of an injury to a starter
