Just be sure to prepare your kids for the day you kill it to make biscuits and gravy. Oh, and don't tell them who they ate until they're done. Things might get hairy for you otherwise.

Don't let Wild Life and Fisheries find out. They will hit you with a fine.

Sam is doing good. He is eating seeds and things and is very rambunctious. I am thinking of letting him go next week. He is still taking goat's milk. He is a messy little fricker.

Yes I do it all the time. He has bitten me twice but only when I am holding him and feeding him. I had to double up the wire cause the little bastard was getting out. I put an old wool hunting hat in a wooden box with wood chips. He stays in there most of the time. When I open the door to my shed he pokes his head out of the hat. When he sees me he jumps out and runs to where I open the door. He is either a smart little dude or a starving one.

I updated the original post. UPDATE:5-25-11
I turned the little fricker loose two weeks ago. He still hangs around the house. There is usually three squirrels playing on the ground. The other two haul arse and Sam stays there. I bring him a piece of food and he takes it out of my hand. He still lets me pet him.
Now that I saved his life and he is grown up, I am going to shoot him for eating my pecans.

Yeah you right! He told me just to kill it when it was a baby. That wouldn't have been fun.

Cute lil fellar. I'd love to have some in my yard but don't have trees. Planted a few oaks last year and 13 pecan trees behind barn in 16 acre pasture so my grandkids could, maybe.
