For instance winds out of the east fish bite the least. Cows aren't laying down means the fish are biting. What yall got?

I'm not. My FIL uses the activity of the wildlife around the lake to determine how the fishing will be. If he hears an owl, we're loading the boat.

Wherever the red-winged blackbirds are the fish are.

Spit on your shiner first and you'll catch a big one.

These are the ones I hear most from my Aunt and Grandmaw, but they have hundreds. Wish I could think of them all.

If you say you'll smoke them, you won't
If you ask where the net is, you won't catch.
If I'm in the boat, you're under a black cloud.

we will sometimes frick with each other with the banana thing. if the pops is on the boat we won't because "we are fishing not screwing around", but we will bring bananas if we are using more then one boat and try to throw them on the others boat when we get to a good location to jinx them.

My Grandmaw and Great Aunt still do this.

We have a camp on Old River with a pier, and they outfish everyone off of it. Plenty of days when 200+ sac-a-lait came off it.

Maybe they're on to something.

Gotta love that one. I always think that once I catch my first fish, then I've got "the smell" (TWSS) on my hands and I am about to wear the fish out. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not.
