Nephew just turned 12 and he swings a 31-21 on the weekend and a 31/23 in junior high ball. The 23 is a bit heavy, but he can swing it against normal kids. He needs the 21 against Major pitchers. He was the 2nd strongest in the weight room last summer.

like I said. I can't remember shite. What do HS teams swing weight-wise? I have no memory

Depends on what they are allowed to use. I believe they would be using -3s at that age, so probably a 32/29 bat.

Demarini CF3
This is what he swings in the 23oz. It has a HUGE barrel and has much more pop than the Easton. Yes I realize the 2 more ozs factors into the distance he gets. Still, it's hotter than the CF4 on the team and the gold CF3 they also have.

Yeah 13-14 should be 32 inches 29 oz as well.

Not until high school.

I just don't see a 13 year old getting a 29oz around at all.

yea, all the senior league bats are -7.5 to 8

I had to and I've seen plenty others do it successfully.

Isn't 13-14 years old a freshman? I guess he could be in 8th grade too. -3s for high school and -8ish in middle school I believe.

Guide
Here's a guide. It kind of contradicts itself if you read everything. Basically he's in between right now.

We had a 15 year old pitch against us the other night in junior high league.

Did you play Dixie or travel ball? If travel ball, what level? Just asking because my nephew has played travel ball since 7 on of the top teams in the state, winning state multiple times, and is a bit slow with the 23oz at 12. No way he can catch up to elite pitching with 6 more ozs.

When I was 13 I played Babe Ruth
