Where are you from? In 13-14 I swung 31-26, but they didn't make -10 and -8 drop big barrels back then. He's been swinging a big barrel since 8 at 28-16. We had 2 1/4 until 13-14.

I used a negative -7.5 Easton big barrel connexion from 12-14 and switched to -3 32/29 when I got to high school.

Model? The Easton Speeds are uber balanced and swing lighter than their sticker weight.

For this year, 8th grader right?
He should probably use a 2.75 and get a big barrel Stealth.
However, for high school, he will need a 2.625 -3 (height, weight) bat, so he could get that in advance, but he would be swinging a heavy bat for a year. Get the Stealth. It is expensive, but I spent my own money on it when I played and I loved it.

hammer. it's a cheaper model, but this is his first year playing, figured it was a good starter bat
