Casanova looked so damn smooth with a big burst of speed on that last punt return... I've never had the privledge to see him run with the ball because the 1970 was nearly 20 years before my time... but damn, he looked like everything I heard about

That was LSU's first win over Ole Miss since 1964.

"Bruiser" Kinard was Ole Miss' interim head coach that night after Vaught's heart attack earlier in the year.

Was it after this game that they recorded "Archie Who"? My Dad bought my brother and I that "45". We knew every word.

This was actually my first game at LSU - WOW was that a great experience, I will never forget it !!!

Where did this come from? There's got to be more. I would pay big bucks to see the LSU/Notre Dame game from that year. I think it was 1970, a national TV night game.
