So now that Portis is gone does that mean Keiland might be the man in Washington?

If you go by the guys they have on the roster right now then it looks like he has a shot.

This. Right now Ryan Torain is probably the leader. Both had great years last year.

I suspect Washington has their eye on a back or 2 for the 2nd day of the draft.

Draft Ingram in the first round, and get a guy like Ponder who should be around in the second round at #41 overall

A bunch of my friends from DC complained about Keiland, even though I thought he played decent.

Not a chance. He isn't an NFL starter.

Torain, being Shanahan's pet will get first nod but I doubt one single back will keep the starting role a majority of the season.

If Arian Foster can tear it up in the NFL then Keiland certainly can. He was nothing special in Knoxville.

shannahan has a habit of picking up low rounders or undrafted RBs and just letting them sort it out

Seems to feel he can make a 1K yard runner out of most anyone as long as teh OL has their shite together

So sure, KW will be one of the guys with a chance to be the starter

+1

plus, Torain got dinged up with injuries a lot last year, Keiland should have a good chance to be the #1 guy there, although Shanahan usually rotates a lot of guys.

Being a longtime Skins fan (watch every game, yeah we suck I know) and DC native here are my thoughts...

-Torain gets first nod as he's the better back but has injury problems so KW will get plenty of action. KW had a decent year on a bad team, it's not his fault nobody blocks for him. I like him and hope he turns into the man.

-We Will NOT draft Ingram, if you take a deeper look at our depth chart you would see the holes and see what we need. 1st round is going to be a Von Miller, Justin Houston type pick for Haslett's 3-4 system to compliment Orakpo. Maybe a safety or a CB.

We might take a RB late in day 2 or pick one up undrafted. We don't need a stud RB in shanahans zone blocking scheme but we need tons of other things. We're still a year away from the playoffs IMO. Zorn set us back really far, really fast.

My biggest fear is Cam Newton falls to # 10 and we take him, nobody in DC outside of Dan Snyder wants him here.

he didn't run with authority. With all the injuries he was able to hang around and get some confidence. He played better late. I always said if he ran with Hesters heart he would be unstoppable.

You beat me to posting this. Is Shanahan looking at Locker?
