Am in Lafayette on business and darted into this little hole in the wall for lunch.

Will post more on it later, but, damn it was good. And, very spicy.

Good on ya, Lafayette.

Nothing better than good Thai.

Did they use Kaffir Lime leaves?

That is correct. I've yet to visit the new location, but their food rocks as well.

I guess it was that paper "Help Wanted" sign they had in the door at Bangkok Thai when they opened that sort of spooked me from going in there, but I will try it upon your recommendation. What did you get to eat?

I had the Chicken Pad Thai and Thai Egg Rolls.

They brought out a pre-game soup (no idea on the name) that was a pork broth (I think?) with tomatoes, very tender pork, cilantro, mushrooms and green onion. Quite tasty.

The egg rolls were crisp and tasted very fresh (Everything tasted EXTREMELY fresh--I know that sounds odd, but it was very noticeable). Just enough crunch.

Now, the Pad Thai. Holy sh!t, it was solid. Lots of dark and white meat chicken with just enough green onion and cilantro. I ordered mine with "medium spice"--holy eff, it was hot. Skinny rice noodles that were damn near perfection.

The portion was huge and I ate the entire thing. Because there was chicken and veggies in it, I can feel good about myself and consider the meal healthy, right? Good.

I will definitely be back. Way to go, Bangkok Thai.

the folks that bought pimon thai and relocated are very nice and the food is basically the same we think but do enjoy BT as well very much and it is less expensive as well.
