I'm about to be re-spooling all of my reels for the spring and wanted to find out what is everyone's favorite fishing line? Feel free to post different line for different species or fishing styles. I have used Berkely Fireline in 15lb test for all of my bass fishing all of last year, on baitcasting reels, and have liked it, but just want to check to see if I'm missing out on something.

You can't put the same line on every reel. You need a braid to flip and frog/sluggo ,mono or fluorocarbon to crank and spinnerbait in different weights. If I had to use one line on every reel it would be 15# triline big game. Spool em up and go getum.

I run with Yozuri Hybrid copoly on most setups and PowerPro for the nasty stuff.

I run 17 lb on most of my rigs simply because I fish a lot of structure that tears line up quick- sunken timber, rip-rap, etc.

About to be buying some inshore fishing equipment cause I'm moving to Destin FL for the summer and the place I will be working for is a half a block from Bass Pro down there.

For braid i throw FINS Windtamer 30-8 (thats all they had or i would use 40lb)
And 17lb BPS EXCEL mono in transparent Blue.
Between those, I'v fished about every inshore saltwater bait and bass bait around. Very few problems.

Also, the Suffix Siege is very good line 14lb mono/clear. Caught a lot of fish on that.

Power pro is some pretty amazing shite.

The amount you pay for it is a different story...

you are right about that.
Most braids are pricy. I like the FINS so far. You can pull knots out of it that would never come out of Power Pro

Fishing line is such a pain in my arse. I've yet to find one that I don't have at least one complaint about.

Some of them didn't have a positive ...

the only thing i have and ever will use. a lot easier to get unstuck from shite and very strong.
line is not something to go cheap on. think about it, how often do you have to respool your line? for me its only about once a year max, i will gladly spend a few extra bucks to get the nice stuff

12 lb Trilene Big Game ..the green one.
Hands down the best line I have ever used.
Use it for Bass and Trout.
Caught White Perch with it this weekend and have caught Redfish over 10 Lbs with no trouble.
