I want to have a crawfish boil next week during Mardi Gras. Suggestions on where the best deal is in New Orleans right now?

Gonna be tough to find them, I've heard everyone saying at least 2 more weeks before sacks would be available, best bet is to just call around and see

If you don't have a source now, you ain't getting a full sack next week, at least in N.o.

Are you guys just repeating what others say on here?

Expensive, yes. Hard to find, no.

I've boiled the past four weekends from 4 difference places. Got them once from River Pond on Airline and Clearview, once from Siether's in Harahan, once from Mike's in Jefferson on Jeff Hwy, and once from the new place on Earhart, forgot the name.

It's not hard. I imagine the others guys haven't tried, I dont know?

That's what my guy said. Funny how when you start getting quality crawfish the price goes down.

Byron said a big arse molt is about over(as of Saturday) and while Mardi Gras will prop up prices for the next week and a half, maybe we'll get some help on cost pretty soon.

Bought some at Schaeffers on Lake Ave. in Metry last friday. I only got 20lbs and they added a little extra to bust up the sack. I think it was $3.49.
