Anyone seen this movie? I watched it on Netflix last week and imo its really good. Emily Blunt played the part really well.

Definitely a surprisingly good movie.

Yeah, I put it on just as something to watch while I fell asleep but I ended up watching the whole thing.

Did they try to 'modernize' Victoria and make her out to be some deviant sexually repressed woman?

My wife made me watch it. It was surprisingly good.

Good, thanks.
I might give it a shot.

Not at all, if anything it is more historically accurate than not, I dont know much about Queen Victoria but I know that in the scene where they are all at the banquet table for King William IV's birthday and he is calling out her mother that whole speech is almost verbatum what he actually said.

Very good movie and worth the watch. Blunt and Paul Bettany are really good. But Mark Strong as John Conroy almost steals every scene . . . as he does in most movies he's in (Hani in Body of Lies; Lord Blackwood in Sherlock Holmes and one of my favorites . . . Archy in Rock n Rolla).
