yea, i've met the owner once or twice and he's a nice enough guy, but $12 for a lunch plate that consists of unseasoned talapia and mashed potatoes just doesnt sound great

I mean the location is bad... Everyone from the area thinks of it as a run down club...

Food is decent, but over priced for portions..10.99 for 4 strips of catfish on the "platter"
Very limited menu, 4 lunch specials daily, along with shrimp, oyster or catfish poboy or platters...that's it..I think it might be better when they get the full menu up, but who knows...
Also, no beer...

We walked in and walked out. i live less than a mile from the place but,I probably won't eat there. I don't like the whole precooked cafeteria style. They had an exremely limited menu the night we went. Granted they had only been open about a week. It seemed like they worked on the place for nearly a year converting it from the bar/pool hall to a restaurant.I don't think it will last. I give it 6 months.

It used to be q'balls on one side and a geriatric lounge on the other. Then became just q'balls.

What is the owner's name?
From the location is sounds like the old Kabara building.
The Music Box was on Airline hwy.

that list would be long, it has been called music box at some point too.

If my memory serves me correctly the Music Box
was between the Kabara and Airline Hwy, both on
the same side of the road. The Music Box was for
the oldtimers!

I disagree with this....if anyone cares.
The Music Box was always in the same old building on 44 close to Delaune's Do It Center.
Still would like to know which LeBeau runs the restaurant.
