Boure'. It is right off of the square. I used to be in Oxford fairly often, and I would always try to make it there for one meal on each visit. Check out their menu on urban spoon.

I have had some fine meals at City Grocery.

Definitely City Grocery. Their shrimp and grits will be among the best you've ever had.
For breakfast, the same chef has a place called Big Bad Breakfast which has some unique items. He's got a brown sugar tobasco bacon and a rather unique red-eye gravy. If you've never had a red-eye gravy, try it. It's made with coffee

City grocery is good but also if you like Mcallisters then eating at the original one there is a must.

City Grocery definitely. If you want a quick lunch spot, Newks is pretty good and they have 2 of them. If you have a little time and want some good catfish, Taylor Grocery is the best I've had. It's about 15 minutes outside the town, down Old Taylor Road. It's built into an old time general store - they don't serve booze, but you can bring your own in a bag. If you like whole fried catfish, it's unbeatable.
