I've been using my piranha saltwater series for the past couple years but it's getting worn out. Any recommendations? The other knife thread had me thinking and I didn't wanna highjack his thread... Tks guys!

well as you know anything over 25 requires a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade.

But in all real ness just scrape away a line of scales and you can use a regular filet, thats what i do since i tend to have more control and i clean my trout with it cause i dont like using electric on 16 and less inch trout.

I use a Dexter Russell serrated tiger blade to make the cut through the scales and down the back. It's the best blade I've found for tough scaled fish. Then finish with a regular fillet knife.

The gray & black american angler electric knife is the best thing since sliced bread! The expensive saltwater model is junk compared to the cheap one. I think they are like 20 bucks @ academy. Best electric knife I've ever owned. Get the model 31600.
