NAT type 3!!! i'm on the verge of punting my PS3!!!

i'm sure i'm not the first to post about having a NAT type of 3 on PS3. I have an ethernet ran directly from the wall to my PS3 but still have this issue. I have a DLink router that i could plug in if that would help. This issue is very frustrating while playing Black Ops and even more frustrating while playing NCAA 2011. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated, and could prevent me from physically punting my Playstation into the parking lot!

I had a problem like this regarding My Xbox 360 and since I am not very tech savvy I youtubed the problem and a video showed me how to fix it.

how anyone cant figure out port forwarding is beyond me... Its not difficult and after you do it the problems decrease 100 fold.

TBH
The first time i did it I was clueless about not only what portforwarding did, but also how the hell to do it.
Once you do it tho, its really easy.

if your router has a DMZ, set up your ps3 in front of it. that will fw'd all ports to your ps3

i cant do mine either..i have a router and a modem both..i cant figure this shite out..i am a dumbshit with computers, so there is no helping me i dont guess..i have a linksys router with a motorola modem..so i guess i keep a 3 nat type..
