Well I started watching LOST on Netflix around December 20th and finished the series today. I watched a shite ton of lost the past month to say the least, I was extremely bored over Xmas break.

I was pretty hooked during seasons 1-2 and was actually rewatching these seasons as I had watched them when they originally aired but after the 2nd season I got fed up having to wait a week so I stopped.

Season 3 was still good then I think Seasons 4 and 5 went downhill with all the space/time travel. You could tell the writers were really trying to think up new things at this point. Then season 6 was just ok.

As far as individual episodes go, I really liked the episode when Charlie died. I felt like I never even really like Charlie that much as a character but for some reason this episode stuck out to me. Then I really liked the constant or whatever when desmond starts jumping around.

I'm writing this mainly to get your opinions on the series finale. Im sure its been discussed numerous times but I just finished 120 episodes of this shite and need some answers.

I thought the ending was very good and I'm not entirely sure how else they could have ended it. Ive read a lot of things and reviews where people just hated it and I guess I'm just trying to figure out why.

So talk about the ending if you want, maybe there's something big I missed that just made it awful.

Basically, I just need to vent that I'm finally done with this neverending tv show.

Now I'm going to knock out How I Met Your Mother.

Oh and for what its worth I tried searching for stuff on LOST on TD but the search on TD sucks.

I loved the way it ended. Thought it really went back to how emotional the first couple of seasons were.

I really just came here to give you respect for watching 6 seasons in less than a month. Impressive.

The finale you either absolutely loved it or you hated it. Personally I loved it and thought it was the perfect way to end the series, and probably is all in all my favorite episode of the series. And if you're confused about the ending itself, they survived the crash (some idiots still insist that they died in it) and the Island was real. When a character died, they immediately went to the sideflash universe, to where time is meaningless. So Boone and Hurley would reach the afterlife at the exact same moment, despite Hurley far outliving Boone.

And damn 120 episodes in less than a month. Took me 3 weeks to finish the first 2 seasons, and I thought that I was watching too much LOST.

obviously it couldn't answer all the questions from the seasons, but I liked the ending. see you in another life brother.

I thought the "off Island" finale was good.

It was the "on Island" part of the finale that bothered me. I was never given a convincing reason why they were needed on the Island, why they were hand picked, and the significance of all the events that transpired for 6 seasons.

I was not a fan of how they ended it. But also know there is no way they could have pleased everyone. I feel like the ending was a cop out.

That said, I will miss this show. It had me glued to my tv every episode.

Yeah I completely agree with everyhing said here. I guess I just think the off island finale was enough but can see why people would be pissed. It's almost like everything that happened played no role in the end.

i thought the ending was terrible, and that the sideflash universe was completely pointless.

Yeah, the Off Island finale seemed applicable to anybody and everybody. It was an explanation of the afterlife. They went together, because "it was the most important time of their lives".

But what did that have to do the Island and being a weird, F'd up place that had time travel, polar bears, electromagnetism etc.? If it was a regular deserted Island that they spent 6 months on together wouldn't they have still gone through pugatory and heaven - probably together?
