Still not sure how much Fuente has called plays and designed game plans???
Both became Co-OC's in 2009.
FUENTE's BIO
Justin Fuente joined the TCU football coaching staff in February 2007 as running backs coach and was promoted to co-offensive coordinator in February 2009. As part of his new duties, he moved from running backs to quarterbacks coach.
In his first season as co-offensive coordinator,
Fuente helped direct a record-setting 2009 TCU attack. The Horned Frogs established single-season school marks for points scored (498), total offense (5,937 yards) and first downs (311).
TCU ranked fifth nationally in rushing offense (239.5 yards per game) and scoring (38.3 points per game) while placing seventh in total offense (456.7 yards per game) and eighth in passing efficiency (154.1).
ANDERSON's BIOAfter coming to TCU as a graduate assistant, Jarrett Anderson is in his 13th year overall with the Horned Frogs.
In February 2009, Anderson was promoted to co-offensive coordinator. He also became the running backs coach after serving as wide receivers coach the previous eight seasons.

it looks like anderson was in charge of the run game and fuentes was in charge of the passing game

Local news just said Fuentes called plays last two years but I don't trust these local hacks.

Looks that way but one didn't call passing plays and the other call running plays. That would really be screwed up.
Fuente has more experience as QB coach, so that's cool, but I wish someone knew for what Fuente did.

Hmmm, anyone know if they were both in the box, on the field, or some of both?

Fuente is the playcaller. It is documented in several places.

It's just a complete guess, but seeing that one coach has been there 13 seasons and one has been there like three, I tend to think the one that's been there three has more control.
It seems like if he trusted the one guy thats been there 13 years to run the offense, he wouldn't need co-offensive coordinators. Like I said, I may be way off, but it seems like the one was rewarded for loyalty and got the title bump while the other would be the driving force behind the offense.

Agreed...very logical.
Is logical allowed on this site? :)

Fuente is the playcaller. ESPN Dallas/Fort Worth had an article on him awhile back (can't find it right now, on my phone) but thy said he called 100% of the plays. That is if you want to believe what ESPN has to say, and they haven't been too spot on lately with these rumors.
But ask yourself this, wouldn't Les know which one calls the plays and wouldn't he hire that one? That leads me to believe Fuente was the playcaller since he has the interview.

Anderson is actually the man. The TCU uppers are just trying to pawn this Fuentes hack off on us. You got to watch these fellas.

Fuente calls plays.
Also called plays at Illinois State before coming on as the RB coach at TCU.

I think Les is interviewing the one that is a QB coach.

That too.
Just came across this LINK. While we're all over here drooling over Fuente, here's what the OSU cowpokes were thinking about him as a replacement for OC:
quote:
No thanks. TCU is where they are because of defense, not Fuente's offense.
quote:
People were on here throwing his name around last time. If he is such a stud why hasn't someone else scooped him up. UT needs an o-coordinator worse than we do. Meacham would be a better hire. IF we aren't going to do that we better get someone familiar with system. The fact that he is a squat is just the last nail in the coffin for me. I just think there are better fits.
quote:
My vote (which doesn't count for chicken-spit) would be NO to Fuente, sorry Justin-use someone else to further your
career
That's right, a coach most of us seem to want and the cowpokes don't seem to want him over there. Fuente wanted the USC OC gig when Kiffin went there but didn't get. Why did Kiffin not hire him?
I'm not one to take Kiffin's or a cowpoke's opinion, but they at least made me a double take.
