Why does everyone act like the Arkansas game never happened?

All I am reading on this board is that JJ has turned the corner, look at how well he played after Bama. Hell, there was even a thread about how well he played in his last 4 games. Let's take a look back at the end of the season without the Cotton Bowl glasses that everyone seems to be looking through.

We were a one loss team with a chance to play in the Sugar Bowl and finish in the top five going into the Arkansas game. Jefferson has another terrible game with no sense of urgency and no sense of awareness. I mean did people forget how frustrating that was to watch? We lose and are relegated to the Cotton Bowl.

Look, the guy played better in the Cotton Bowl, when he had a month to prepare for a big 12 defense. He played better in GT game in 08. The last 4 games of this season showed me nothing more than JJ is the same inconsistent, unreliable, limited QB he always has been.

I hope the new OC comes in and we have an honest QB battle in the spring. If Mett can't win the starting job then I will support Jefferson, I will just expect more of the same inconsistencies and limitations we have come to expect over the last 2-3 seasons.

The JJ era is over. Don't worry about it.

I expect better QB play for many reasons, to include maturity, competition, and better coaching. This includes JJ.

QB play will be better simply because Crowton isn't here anymore.

A critical point

a big 12 defense

An even more critical point. Got away with things he couldn't have in the SEC

Really?

16/27 184 yards, 34 yards rushing

Solid, not great, first half with two scoring drives. But Crowton shuts down the middle of the field in the 3rd quarter and we tank.

Few of our games we won was because of Lee not jefferson...especially FL...4th down Jefferson doesnt make that pass......and the bama game at the end jj doesnt make that pass and I think you guys know that.

Arkansas was on the defense.

Scratch that, Arkansas was on Karnell Hatcher.

JJ didnt play like a superstar but he didnt suck it up royally. he was mediocre. and ill take that with his previous performances. I do think he trended upward towards the end of the season.

We must be reading different threads.

only conclusion to be drawn.

only thing we can hang our hat on.

Nightmare scenario.

Compared to the beginning of the season, JJ was much better.

JJ would have been a stud in almost any other conference outside of the SEC

What is LSU wins all 9 gasmes as a result of a punishing and unstoppable running attack?

That loss was on the defense.
Had the Hogs shown up vs LSU with that Sugar Bowl performance, they'd have been stomped. We almost always get piggy's best every year.
