Not sure how I feel about it. Crowton is quoted as saying in the article what I always suspected, namely that the overly conservative offense wasn't really his first choice either but that given the personnel that's what had to happen.
If that's the case then the new OC will likely bring a lot of the same stuff to the table anyhow. I guess we'll find out.

Crowton's main fault was going away from stuff that worked. Gain 20 yards on one play, check let's not run that play ever again. He also doesn't develop the QBs.
