LSU admins working hard to keep Miles

Just discussed Miles issue with former BOS President, Charlie Weems. I asked him what was the latest, mentioned the top possible candidates and also asked if he thought his good friend, Nick Saban would be interested in coming back this time. His email response is below:
"Hey, believe me I am in it up to my eyeballs trying to get/keep
everything right for Miles to stay, and if he goes, which I don't really
think will happen, I promise I will do everything possible to help LSU
get the best man available. My heart is right where yours is, and the
men you mention are all great coaches. I don't think my friend NS is
going anywhere however. Keep the faith.

I just mentioned a few coaches like Patterson, Mullen, Peterson and even expressed that some LSU fans are a little leery of Pelini. I asked about Saban b/c I know Charlie is great personal friends with Nick and Nick had expressed to him his interest in the past.

I sure as hell hope they do not get carried away with this and get in a bidding war mith UM. He is definitely not worth more than he is getting paid now. Which is pretty ridiculous. All it will do is make tickets prices go up along with everything else cost related to athletics to have to help and pay for the salary. If he really wants to go suck it up and let him and spend the money on someone else.

Good stuff and Charlie would still be involved and know what is going on despite Jindal replacing him on the BOS.

Situation is a coin toss and depends on the "want and desire" that MI shows Miles. Les is not going in begging for this job.
