I wonder if this is extension talk or maybe deeper -- not letting him get rid of Crowton, for example?

Nice knowing you. In all honesty, Les has done great great things for our program and will be leaving it in just as good if not better shape than Saban did. Thanks CLM and go kick some vest arse.

Joe A. probably feels the same way Skip did he wants to leave his mark on the program by selecting his guy. Miles will always be Skips guy. I know CLM didn't like all of those public letters by Joe A.

Wow, for the life of me, I don't have a clue as to why Miles wants to leave unless it's all about $$. I would think though, that he is on top of the pay scale at LSU. Can anybody clarify that???

My brother is a booster for UM, and their expectations are just as great as any team in the SEC.

If he's talking, then he wants to leave. I will miss him greatly!

Don't worry, Miles will use the Michigan offer to get a contract extension and raise from LSU. He doesn't want to leave, but he's gonna make Alleva pay and eat that pre-season letter he wrote.

My buddy who knows Alleva and exchanges emails with him sometimes, said the following (Paraphrasing)

"This season is a big for Miles' future at LSU"

That was written sometime last summer...and Alleva was feeling the heat from LSU fans..and that is true..Miles needed to rebound from a bad trend after 07. He corrected course...Everyone should be supporting Miles.

Miles also has to understand what wins and losses do to fans..it comes with being the "head coach" and the AD.

After the Ole Miss loss last year, there was movement to get Miles out then...it was getting ugly..in fact the Arkansas game was huge! Many said he would have been fired had he lost that game..

I applaud Miles for sticking it out and taking all the abuse like a man, he never complained one time that I recall..

UM will have less pressure for 2 years...correct course in Ann Arbor he becomes a legend, stay the course at LSU "your paid 3.7 million" to do so attitude..

It really doesn't make sense from any logical perspective. He must really like Ann Arbor to consider this.

Expectations will be just as high, but his job will be significantly harder.

Yeah, no other successful coach ever gets booed or has people calling for his head.
