Brett Favre investigation concidence

NFL has said they have finished their investigation. Now Brett is gonna sit rather than play.
Any coincidence. NFL says to Brett, you can walk away now or we are going to have to suspend you for violation of the personal conduct policy.
Wouldn't it be better for Bret to walk away than to be suspended.
