id say mike leach or the okie state oc.

state needs an energy guy and a spread type system guy.

Why can't we do this in the other "which coach does state hire" thread?

This place is almost unbearable when news breaks.

State wont hire Leach

State will talk to Malzahn, Sumlin at Houston, possibly try to save RichRod from Michigan, could promote an assistant already on staff

There are some other names as well, but State has some pretty good options if he ends up leaving

dick rod would be a horrible move. no defense at all and he cant win big ones.

sumlin or malzahn are good but i still think dh is the way to go. he is another young energy type coach

Tenn was a clusterphuck last offseason- thats why they hired their 5th choice as coach...thats not the situation in Starkville.

State has 16 starters returning, plans to enlarge the stadium, a New Years Day Bowl, and a top 20 recruiting class.

Lots of good things right now at State

95% sure- he is not the right fit with what the new administration looks for in a coach.
