Uh okay, keep fooling yourself. Whatever he did was enough for the person to press charges. He is guilty of sexual battery--plain and simple. You can twist it anyway you want. Now to answer your question, the offense would have to be so egregious for one to press charges and keep pressing them, then you can ask. As far as I now it is extremely rare for a simple "feel up" to go to court.

Geez, you certainly are full of yourself. You seem to be the one that is fooling yourself. But whatever.

My good friend goes to UGA and this is what exactly happened:

He was touching down low (front side) against the girls will. He made contact, she freaked out, cops came and he told the cops that he was Aaron Murray, and they soon realized that he was in fact not aaron murray. Im sure during this whole hook up experience he grabbed her arse but thats not why the cops came.

My friend was at the same bar at the time so thats how he knows.

But honestly I dont care about this Im glad he is a tiger now

Agreed.

It's really pathetic how some people have to go around labeling him as a "sexual offender" and trying to be a buzz kill.

exactly, Everyone has made mistakes in their life, his is out in the open because he is in the public eye. I listed to his interview today and you could tell that he was truly upset because his entire life he wanted to play at UGA. And he messed up and all that was taken from him. He is sorry for his mistakes and ready to prove himself.

I can say I've never groped against one's will or been charged with sexual battery, much less pled guilty.

Look, you all finally got good QB. But you are gonna get this stuff for the next three years.

Terrible atttempt to defelect. This is an LSU board. I've discussed that on MSB. But start a Sanchez thread and I'll chime in sooner or later

I don't care one way or the other in either situation

Any 18yr old college kid that plays QB at a major D1 school is going to have girls and attention all over him. Im sure when Mett was at the bars plenty of girls were all over him and he (fortunately for us) made the decision to try and use his 18yr old QB image on the wrong girl. For all we know she may have even wanted it. I don't blame the kid, i'm sure there are plenty of other incidents like this all over that go unnoticed.

That said the dude can play. My best friend is Mett's OT, and I have buddies who play for Coffeyville CC, and Hutchinson CC, the #2 and #5 Jucos in the country. I went to seven BCC games this year and he has all the tangibles. Big guy, decent mobility, good field vision, fairly accurate, and can make any throw on the field with good zip. After watching him tear up defenses sending recruits all over D1 football I fully expect him to come in next year and at least compete for the starting job. He will have alot to learn and will be facing far superior competition but I feel like he has a chance to play out of the gate. Oh and I am going to take credit for getting him to LSU. When I went on my baseball visit to BCC he was on his football visit to BCC and we talked for a little. I had a LSU baseball shirt on and told him " If you want to be the QB who leads us to the National Championship, you should stay away from College Station" He just laughed and said he really liked LSU and Baton Rouge but im gonna take credit.

Jury is still out for me. IF and I stress IF he tried to pass himself as Aaron Murray, that would emphasize that he has larger character issues than just getting drunk and horny. We do know he copped a plea for reduced charges, so I think anybody who's trying to blow this off as shite that everybody does should reconsider. You don't want to have character issues with the highest profile player on your team, if for no other reason than that they eventually reappear at the worst time (see Ryan Perilloux).

Bottom line on this kid. Everyone screws up in life at one time or another. The kid went thru the legal process and got his punishment. Hopefully he learned his lesson. LSU gave him a second chance and I wish him well. Screw up again and adios!

This is what bothers me most...his lack of self control (fake ID, drinking to excess) knowing that he was a high profile athlete with a spot light on him AND lying to the cops and his coach.

The 'maybe the girl wanted it' and 'we've all done it' comments bother me...because I'm a 'girl' who was groped more than once back in the day when I waited tables. And, believe me, I did nothing to 'ask for' or 'invite' the totally inappropriate touching, other than, you know, just being female. I'm not going to brush off what *may* have happened just because sometimes males and females do stupid things when they've been drinking.

That said, back in the day, I saw girls doing crazy arse stuff when drinking and later saying it was 'against their will'. Crazy bitches, and I can totally see something 'normal' being overblown in the heat of the moment.

All I can do is trust CLM's judgement on this. He's been personally recruiting Mett for a year. By all accounts, the kid has been on the straight and narrow since getting kicked off UGA's team...given his lack of trouble since then AND CLM's trust in him, I'm not overly bothered.

If the dude does anything similar here and lies to CLM though...personally, I hope CLM kicks him off the team so fast and hard he wishes he were back in that bar with the bouncer.
