Leeland McElroy remains the fastest football player I have ever seen in person.

He singlehandedly beat LSU in 94. I know that's hyperbole, but it seemed that way.

I dont quite remember the year but, A&M was coming play LSU in Tiger Stadium. Well on the way here they got to a sign that said Baton Rouge left... So they turned around and went back to Texas.... :rimshot:

Are you thinking of the '95 game at Kyle Field? My memory might be a little hazy but I think Rodney Thomas had a pretty good day against yall in '94 (although Leeland was already looking amazing on kr's that year).

I still remember listening to the post game radio show leaving Tiger Stadium in '94 and hearing some caller get hung up on for offering a thousand dollar contract on Hallman's head. Whoever that dude is has probably racked up 80k posts under five different names on TD since this site began.

Went to the game @ College Station in 87. We won a close one. A&M was really good at the time, and we had a great year. Aggies are delusional (more so than Tiger fans) but all in all very nice people.

It was 94. 18-13. McElroy killed us.

I think that was the game McElroy reeled off two long TD runs and that was the difference maker.

Or was that '95... My memory is already fading.

Trying to find the box from that game since I've obviously lost some brain cells in the 16 years since, but stumbled on this from the '93 game:

Not against LSU, but McElroy was so freaking bad arse. These younger kids need a history lesson on this fella.

When my wife was in undergrad at LaTech, she was on the sidelines when Tech played A&M. The Aggies riled up their collie dog on the Tech band, and my wife said it came close to biting her and a few others while the Aggs laughed.

I said next time "Choot 'em!"

Uh, that game was not close. We won 17-3 and the A&M offense did not cross midfield until late in the 4th quarter when the game was out of reach. This was Mike Archer's first game as head coach.

A couple of tiger fans ran to mid-field after the game and tried to stick a flag in the ground (I think it was unsuccessful because the field is turf)

We were living in Michigan in 1970, and were expecting great things out of the Tigers that season. I was listening to the LSU aTm game on WWL as my wife was preparing to go to work (she's a nurse and was working mid-night shift in the ER).

There were just a few seconds left in the game, the Tigers were ahead and had A&M pinned back on their own 20. As she was leaving, wife asked if the game was over - I said "yes, Tigers win". The rest is history - Aggies win on 80 yard pass (aTm only win 2 games that whole season - LSU wins SEC that year).

Wife brags to Texan co-worker only to be informed different. Wife blames me?

one of the guys with the flag was a friend of mine. few minutes before the end of the game, p.a. announcer asks all fans to stay off the field after the game because the field is a memorial to all a&m grad's who have died in service of the country. that was pretty much an invitation to a bunch of drunken tiger fans whose team was beating a ranked opponent that they were not supposed to beat. my buddy with the flag got chased by some corps guy with a sword.

My first LSU game in TS. LSU winning but a last second long pass to a receiver name macelroy i believe wins the game for A&M. I think this would be in the 67 to 68 year range.

I had 5 friends in town from IN and TX for the '94 game. We had a party at an apt complex off Burbank before the game. After the game, we discovered that some drunkass aggie fan in a jeep lost control and took out 5 of our vehicles parked perpendicularly to Burbank like dominos. 4 of the 5 were totaled. The dick didnt have insurance either, yet he never went to jail!!!

I will forever have a special hatred of A&M for that one!

Once got a ticket for indecent exposure (urinating in public) in College Station during the bonfire before the Texas game. One of the campus policemen was mounted (yes, it took more than one to write me up). While they were writing the ticket, the horse began to urinate. I wrote a letter to the judge arguing I was higher on the evolutionary ladder than the horse. If the horse could urinate in public, why not I? The fine was reduced to next to nothing and the offense wiped from my record. My screen name is in honor of that judge.
