Daniel Graff is the epitome of a team player – unselfish, full of positive spirit and a “100% every play” competitor. Daniel overcame family adversity after Hurricane Katrina to excel in football and graduate from LSU. He was originally accepted on a partial track scholarship to Louisiana-Laffayette in August of 2005. He was enrolled in school only a week when Hurricane Katrina destroyed his family’s home in Metairie. After the Hurricane he left Louisiana-Lafayette and returned home to help his dad and brother rebuild their home.

Daniel stayed out of school for an entire year before returning to the University of New Orleans as a student only. With football being his true passion, he decided he wanted to give it another try. He contacted LSU and was given the chance to tryout as a walk-on. He made the team and spent 2007 as a scout team player for the Tigers. Last spring, he was granted a sixth-year of eligibility. Every practice Daniel opens in full uniform, practicing with the Special Teams unit. Once special teams practice is finished, he changes into coaching gear and assists with coaching the LSU secondary. He is committed to the “team” and will do whatever it takes help his teammates succeed.
