I need help with D. I cannot seem to stop the pass for shite. I usually run a cover 2 when playing with LSU. Anybody have some real solid plays that stop the pass when the QB scrables around the damn field and somehow completes a pass.

Play some man defense..change it up a bit. Run a 4-2-5.
On 3rd and longs run a dime, and always bring in someone to blitz. Preferably a cornerback..you won't get pressure with 3 down linemen..so send someone from the edge.

Just run cover 2 man. works like a charm. Change your formation based on what the O is running but stick to the man. Also play as FS or MLB so you can play the pass but stop the running qb as well

4-4...there is a man coverage play with 2 LBs blitzing up the middle...control the free safety...blitz him with the LBs...spread your DLine out....QB will have no chance..
Cover 2 works well, I like Nickel better then any other pass defense. Are you playing the CPU? Just remember the CPU will always find the hole in your defense. I tweaked the AI a bit to make it more realistic.

Thanks for the help guys. Im talking about playing people online.
I usually run cover 2 but out of the 4-3 formation. I also run a cover three press but not much anymore cause I kept getting beat.
I usualy have the dline contain the r-QB and on passing downs my lb play zone unless ive been able to get the QB.
Somehow though there is always a guy wide open in the middle of the field. idk.

If he is rolling out and scrambling I usually corner blitz and control the defensive end opposite the field. He is fricked then.

you have to bring pressure. My favorite blitz is a zone blitz with the SS from a 4-2-5. First down I'm playing Man.

If the qb is scrambling to find open receivers, set qb contain to aggressive. A couple of d's I'll use are:
Dime - prowl spy man, cover 1 press, cover 3 press
Quarters - short man zone **this one is money on long plays**, 3 deep man, quarters
4-2-5 - play around with under and bear
If you're playing somebody that passes a lot and likes to scramble around, set the whole d to aggressive and you'll eventually put a big sack on him and/or pick it off.
