Our committ was voted best cover guy, 2nd fastest and 4th best overall athlete. This guy should be a five star and is turning into my favorite recruit of the class!

I wanted to write aboot him in the Raven thread yesterday, but I figured that people would think I would just be blowing smoke.

Try to find the interview with him. Not sure who it was by, but the kid is very well spoken, and definitely has his game together.

What else from a Les Miles' recruit.

Found it.

Thanks for the link.

He looks a little stringy, which actually is a good thing to me, because it shows that a college weight program will do him some good.

Definitely.

Tharold Simon is still stringy, but I am amazed at the hips this guy has for such a tall athlete.

Jenkins is 6-1, and some of the clips I've seen from him look like the kid can just fly.

I strongly believe that LSU has the best/deepest cb corps in the NCAA, even after Patrick leaves.

so the best coverage guy, 2nd fastest, and 3rd most athletic is ranked the 18th best corner in the country?

I'm sure like Tyrann he'll be their "best cover guy" and their 13th ranked corner.

He just needs to say in an interview that he's going to visit Bama, Texas and Miami and He'll be in the top 10 overall the next update.

Definitely seems like he is in for a good bump in the january rankings. No way he can be that high in their superlative rankings and be the 18th cb in the country.Doesn't matter to me.Cooper is just showing what we all have known about him.The guy can identify good cover cbs.He did it at USCe and is doing it here. The guy is vastly underrated at evalutaing cbs.

What you need to understand is that these rankings have nothing to do with the player's ability to perform the essential functions of his future position. That would be a stupid way to rank and evaluate anyone.

I said this same thing last year when this thread was about Tyrann Mathieu. If Jenkins comes in and has half the impact that Mathieu has had this season, he's going to be a helluva player.

It was a joke then and it's a joke now. Jenkins will be a good one, just like Mathieu.
