I'm looking for a new shotgun for mainly duck hunting. I had a beretta pintail that my dad got me as my first 12 guage for five years. The gun just never did really cycle properly, almost always hung up, except for two seasons, no matter how clean it was. Also took it to three gunsmiths who couldn't make it work properly. Anyways, I'm looking for a new shotgun and am leaning towards the Beretta Xtrema 2 because of the reliability and overall precision that I've heard about. I've also been looking at the Beretta Urika 2 and don't really know too much about it. I like the small forend and light weight of the Pintail that I had and hope to get a thin, lightweight gun because these fit me better and I feel like I shoot better with a slight gun. 3.5 inch shells would be a nice plus with the Xtrema, but I really don't have to shoot 3.5s. I'm going to shoot an Xtrema 2 that a friend at my camp has to make sure it feels good, but I'm also looking for opinions and experience with these guns to help me make up my mind. Thanks

I shoot a camo franchi automatic. It's easy to break down, I've used it as a prop when falling in the water and kept on shooting it. The only time it ever hung up, it got into the teens and I had left it in a case in the backend of the truck. It had gotten moist the morning before and it took me about ten min to get the trigger unfrozen. After it shot once, it was ready to go. Good gun.

I got the benelli super black eagle 2.. Its been a great gun. Its light weight, very fast shooting, also can use 3.5's in it.

If you're looking for a reliable light gun I'd say Browning Silver Hunter, this is what I have, its extremely light, shoulders well, and is much cheaper than SBE2 or Xtrema2. Mine slid off a tree into three feet of water I picked it up drained the barrel and shot the rounds that were still in it.

I love this gun. Bought on last year, shot it a ton, still am, and it has never jammed on me. I've only cleaned it once, but im pretty bad about cleaning my guns.
I put quite a bit of rounds through the gun when I go shoot skeet, and i've never had a twelve guage do better on my shoulder. Then next day I dont even know ive shot. But Berreta (especially the Urika) prides itself on that. Lines up nice for me, which you should definitely make sure before you buy any gun. Throw them up and make sure they feel comfortable to you. But with Beretta you know you are getting the most advance technology in their guns.
And only shooting 3's has never been an issue for me.
