Do the voters really let Boise and TCU play for it all? Definitely can understand 1 playing in that scenario for sure, but will they really let two non AQ teams play for it and leave 1 loss LSU out of it?

I just can't imagine letting them both play. Plus this would be the 3rd year in a row they've played in a bowl.

Thoughts?

It sure would be. LSU is just too far behind in the BCS to catch either one.

Thoughts are, in addition to this:

Pull for Nebraska to win the Big 12 with 2 losses
Pull for Ohio State to lose to Michigan so that Michigan State wins the Big 10. It would be better if Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan State ALL lost one more, but that just isn't going to happen.

That would give you a significantly lower ranked Big 10 champ and a 2 loss Big 12 champ.

Oh, and pull for VT to lose the ACC championship game AND for Utah to continue their downward spiral.

I think the voters would pull the trigger on a TCU/Boise game just for chaotic reasons. There are so many douches who hate college football because it's not like the NFL or NBA or March Madness. These people - many of whom haven't watched but about 10 combined games of college football over 20 years - still don't get the unique part of CFB and that is that every week is so crucial and that you don't go 12-0 and rest your starters and risk a loss just to get home field advantage in some playoff.

Needless to say, there are those of us who - if we had a vote - would alter our polls after an Oregon/Auburn loss (right or wrong) just so we do not have to see a repeat of the Fiests Bowl on a bigger stage.

I'm not sure, though, with an Auburn loss, that Oregon and Boise State would be any better...those two just played last year, also.

CFB would implode if LSU/Auburn somehow ended up in the big show.

TCU/Boise has happened 2 years in a row...we do not need a 3rd.

Oregon and Auburn is what people want, yet something tells me this is losing luster for obvious reasons. Also, the east coast media would only be interested due to the scandal.

LSU vs. Boise/TCU would be terrible in ratings, sedond only to TCU/Boise.

Auburn would kill Boise or TCU. Neither would be able to stop Newton.

LSU and Oregon would be well recieved of all of the scenarios. I hope this is what happens. We need an AU loss, a Boise loss to Nevada, and I think we'd naturally just jump TCU. This scenario scould happen!

I have watched the NC for the last 11 years (I'm 20). If TCU plays Boise for the NC, it is safe to say I won't watch a 12th this season.

I doubt LSU would jump TCU/Boise unless it came out and blew out Arkansas dominating them all game.

Games like Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida, McNeese State, North Carolina where LSU seemed "lucky" to win are in many voters eyes. What game this year has LSU played a complete game? Offensively and defensively?

LSU needs that game to be Arkansas to impress enough voters that they move up and possibly jump one of those teams.

I am not sure about the rules but I thought I heard that two teams from non-BCS conferences cannot play for the title game.

Boise State and TCU are only battling each other to be the one non-BCS representative.

Its not luck when you win week in and week out. Winning close games just means we are battle tested, and can win in the trench late in the game. There is 5 SEC West teams in the top 25, need I say more..... We've played one of the toughest schedules in the nation, and tough teams every week. We don't have cupcake schedules, like Boise & TCU. We are a DAMN STRONG FOOTBALL TEAM!! Geaux Tigers!!!

Stop worrying about it, follow me here!!! LSU is not going to be in the MNC, PERIOD! so relax, pray for a win against Arkansas and hope we get a BCS game. Be happy for what we have, whcih is a 10-1 record for a team that has been horrific on offense for most of the season. Geaux Tigers

Under normal circumstances, LSU would absolutely jump either BSU or LSU; but as pointed out by someone earlier voters remember what is perceived as "lucky" wins and some might be turned off by it. However, a complete pwnage of Arky this week-end in little rock could definitely change that.

Little Nicky gets a front row seat on the Cam-train. Aubie rolls this weekend. Pour some sugar on the Tigers.

Time to go to a play-off system.

play-offs won't achieve much, except give a few extra entertaining games; the best team might still not win and more teams than play-offs spots will have an argument to get in. So there would still be this type of discussions.

Only if AU beats South Carolina. Plus a LSU vs. Boise Sugar would be terrible for New Orleans./
