Saw a doe and yearling at 4:45am this morning

Crazy horned spike buck at 5:00am (see my thread)

Saw a doe at 6:05 am but couldn't get a shot. I think she saw my hat move then she turned back the way she came and left the shooting lane.

Dont beat us up to bad diesel.. Im going hunting.. Didnt want to see the beat down.

Saw 15 this evening. 9 big does an 6 50-60 lbs yearlings not sure of their sex. Was going to shoot a big doe but didn't have my doe tag on me. Headed to Natchez in the morning

Spent 3.5 hours on the stand this morning looking at this fricktard of a squirrel barking at me from 20 feet away. I spent most of that time imagining what he would look like if I put a 30-06 round through him. I scoped him for 10 minutes too.

Same here... hope Im not making a mistake. Some minor reports about the rut beginning around my camp but I hope it will hold off until Thanksgiving. If not, Ill be headed up there Sunday morning.

Other than a few squirrels, been quiet here in Avoyelles parish.
