Both G2s are split. Only deer I have ever seen there that has that. I've got a lot more pictures of the deer both years. It's the same deer.

Also, it's the same camera and he has the same pattern he had last year.

Would be my guess, though maybe 4 1/2 as its in the pine hills and they just don't grow that big there.

Do you consider him a shooter this year? Would you have shot him last year?

Definitely a good looking deer. Would look nice over my fireplace.

At that rate he will be a nice shooter next year.

sad part is that buck would be off limits in many counties in Texas due to antler width restrictions of 13" inside

That is a unique looking buck. That rack looks two feet tall! Not very wide but lots of character. I think you are right about that being the same deer unless this type of rack is prolific in your area.

Our racks either run high and narrow or low and wide. There is no inbetween.

Damn nice buck. I like a tall rack. If I saw him I would take him b/c he's as good as he's gonna be imho.

Found the shed of this deer's left horn yesterday. So, he gets another year to get bigger.

We had a couple nice ones on camera up there too, but they all made it to live another year.
