1972 LSU Ole Piss -- Last 3 and a half mins

I was there also. Excellent game. We laughed for years about one of our friends who left before the end. We called it "pulling a Whatley."

Was that John Ferguson with the call? I figure it has to be but it doesn't sound much like him.

I was there with the Boy Scouts as an usher, on the 45 yard line on the east side in the middle of a crowd of Ole Miss fans. They were screaming their heads off until 00:00.

I always remember Walter Hill doing sidekick duties. I'll have to listen again and crank up the volume this time.

I don't recall this at all. I remember thinking that only a handful of LSU fans had left. Funny thing about memories.

I was up high in U-19 and you could really see a ton of empty sets, the Ole Miss sections were all still full and they were to the right and below us.

In U-19 only about 1/3 the fans were still there, and my father even told the couple next to us as they started to leave with around 8 minutes to go that the game wasn't over and now isn't a good time to leave.

The man next to us hearing my father stayed because of what my father said.

It was a very even game, the stats show that the game was close.

We were in the same class.

The bad thing was father had sits on the 45 yard line about 30 rows up form 1953-1965, he gave the sits up due to money being short in 66 and got the U-19 sits in 1967.

In 66 I sat in the press box for 2 games, loved meeting everyone up there (mainly Jim Corbett).
