Blood Meridian

Its being developed now but I can't imagine any other adaptation that I'd be more excited for

That book would make a great movie if it was done right. Even though it is about children, I never found the themes to be for children (Governmental control, population control, xenocide). If it was kept the story relatively adult, this book would make for a great movie. If they go childish with the story, it will be horrible. Ender's Game is the quintessential example of a book which requires the perfect combination of director, writer, and actors for it to work at all, imo.

My favorite book. I would like a decent movie made of this, not that tv show crap they did back in the day.

Wheel of Time series would be great but I don't see how they could do a live action movie of them. There will be 14 books when all is done and I just don't see any studio signing off on 20 years worth of movies.

Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell

If you have never read it, it is an amazing book. It is the story of Seal Team 10. Great story. I would recommend it to anyone.

I doubt a movie would be made about this book any time soon, but it would make for a great and moving story of heroism and sacrifice, and that is if they don't even throw in the Hollywood theatrics they normally do.

A lot of good suggestions so far. To throw out something new and not repeat others, I'd like to see someone adapt The Gospel According to Biff, Jesus' Childhood Pal.

And though I said it was unadaptable, I'd like to see someone make The Navidson Record, the fictional film at the center of House of Leaves.

I want to see a message board post turned into a movie. Specifically:

As the Plains Burn....

This is actually in the process of being adapted into a movie by Dicaprio and his people

That would be a good one. I'm surprised none of Moore's books have ever been made into a movie.
