Would you guys feel guilty if LSU went to the big game ahead of say TCU and Boise State when they are undefeated, when LSU did not even win it's own conference or their own division. Don't get me wrong it would be awesome to see. But I just feel like if LSU wanted a chance to get in the championship game, they had a chance to beat Auburn. Since they didn't beat them, they shouldn't worry. That's JMO though.

I'd be too happy to feel bad, but I see your point.

Not at all. TCU and BSU haven't played anyone worth a crap all year. Now if they played a tougher schedule and LSU still went ahead of them, the answer would still be no.

when there was some conversation of LSU vs. Georgia in 2007, 'winning the conference' was relevant because LSU AND UGA ARE IN THE SAME CONFERENCE.

now, the boise and tcu stories are nice, but 'winning the wac' is not as much of an accomplishment as winning the sec, or even winning a division in the sec.

no fewer than three teams in the SEC would be undefeated with boise and or tcu's schedule, and it might be more like six.

the goal of the BCS is to put the 'two best teams on the field' for the national title game.

to use one team's championship in an inferior conference as a deciding factor is just plain stupid.

I would be a crime if one of those team gets in ahead of a one loss-Oregon, Auburn, Lsu, Wisconsin or Ohio St.

Oregon won't win there Confrence Championship game because they don't have one. So if they don't win theirs why should LSU have to win ours?

This thread is like saying "would you feel bad if you got a huge raise for busting your arse while your lazy coworker got nothing?"

Actually a 1-loss Oregon is DONE, even if they win the PAC 10. I would rather have a 1-loss LSU that didnt win its own division than have Oregon. Oregon's schedule is a fricking disgrace for a BCS team, heck Boise's/TCU's may even be better.

If we get in I would be stunned but I would take it. I would not feel bad or guilty. Teams get left out every year. It's not a perfect system. The problem is LSU does not just have to look out for teams in front but also a 1 loss conference champion behind them. The voters might fix it to have a 1 loss Conference Champion. We still have to win out. I know it's unpopular to respect opponents among people on this board but I don't count wins before they happen.

I also think the argument for being conference champion is bs because all the conferences do not have a championship game. I would not be ashamed to go ahead of tcu because their schedule is the biggest joke of them all. Their biggest win is utah who is a terrible team.
