It would be great to get Love, but there's no way I'm giving up West.

I don't want to give up much of anyone on this team except for Peja, unless we're getting someone that clearly puts us in championship territory.

Not a shot in hell we trade D. West, especially for that. Have you ever heard Monty in an interview? When talking about the team, the first two names he always says are Chris and David. Even today on SVP, he was asked about what made him succesful so far and the first thing he said was Chris and David buying into the system. No way it happens. You wasted 45 seconds of your life even putting that into the trade machine.

yep. It's a total fact that a 6'9 jump shooting power forward who averages 16-6-1 for his career while playing with a top 10 all time pg cannot be improved upon.

DWest is better than Love. Why in the world would you make that trade?

I think with all of these trade rumors, people want to see a trade so bad, they forget to use logic. You have on thread talking about trading Peja and Thornton for Baron or Gilbert, another guy talking about trading West for Bosh, and now here we are talking aobut trading West for Love. With Thornton being such a valuable trade asset because he is a talented, young player on a cheap contract, I seriously doubt we waste that on trying to upgrade the PF position, a position that is already set at the starting level and back up.

At what? Ping pong? So far this year love is superior in almost every stat category. Not to mention bigger, more versatile, and hasn't reached his potential yet.

Btw, the way to argue against this trade is with chemistry not player quality.

I love Kevin Love!
...but i wouldn't give up DWest and MT5 for him.

but damn, he's one of my favorite non-Hornets in the NBA. If they are shopping him, let's make a deal!

I would not overpay for West
Love for West in some fashion I would do

Ariza is a similar player to West

I still think instant offense of Thornton should be kept

I thought all of the changes were being made to try and keep Chris happy? Since when is trading away his long-time teammate and friend on the team as well as one of his favorite assist targets for a guy with slightly better numbers this year going to motivate him to stay?

The better Beasley plays the more likely Love is to be traded. I have no idea why so many people are shocked that he can actually play, he was great in college but was just in a terrible situation for his type of game in Miami.

Love is a really really good player and one of the top 5 rebounders in the league. For whatever reason, they wont give him the minutes he deserves. It would be par for the course for them to trade him.

I've already said it won't happen and chemistry is why. But anyone saying west is a better player just ain't paying attention.

If by similar you mean polar opposites.

And just wait. In 2-3 years when the gasol/Duncan/Garnett generation of big men are gone/totally lost it "Kevin love is a top tier pf" is going to be the nauseatingly trendy thing to say.

He seems like a pretty shitty defender from what I've seen, and is shooting 39% this season. He'd kind of be a lateral move from West, IMO, which isn't worth it because CP wants to play with his boys and not some punk arse cracka.
