I sat very close to the Gump band, and while their cheerleaders were very cute, the band was not. They played pretty much non-stop, doing something every down. It was very irritating.

Does the Tiger Band play something every down? If so, I can sort of understand the Gump band's playing... Still, I'd like to be able to hear the Tiger Band.

And that piped-in music shite has got to stop. Nothing is more annoying.

the band plays every down when we are offense, but it was annoying that the bama band played pretty much after every down.

Was it just me or did it seem that Tiger Band played less than usual during the game? There were several times when there was no piped in music but the band didn't play either.

Speaking of the Bama band, what was up with those freaky dancers during the halftime show....the ones dressed as hippies? I get that the music was from the 60's, but they looked like idiots running around.

we may have played a little less then usual. there seems to be less time now for some reason between the end of the pregame/halftime show and when the game starts back up. we normally cant start playing for a good amount of time just because enough of us arent back up from the field yet.

also, we have a guy from promotions sit right by the drum major telling us when we can and cant play and how much time we have. sometimes by the time they tell us we can play there is only 15 or so seconds left in the time out and by the time we are ready its over.

it is so we dont play over the hype videos or the unnecessary advertisements that need to be read. the away bands dont get someone from athletics helping them out so they do whatever they want.

As if all the damn ads on the video board weren't enough.

On a Bama-related note, everybody sitting near me was hoping you guys would crank out "Rammer Jammer" at the end of the game, but I knew it wasn't gonna happen.

This is why I am not a fan of those big screen boards. They ended up just being an ad spots. It's disgusting that the band now must not play due to advertising.

In my experience, only Auburn's fans do this (substituting "Go to hell, Alabama" for "Give 'em hell, Alabama")--they even did this at the LSU game, which I found puzzling. Of course, they also stole Georgia's fight song, FSU's pre-game spear-stabbing, and Oklahoma's "corn dog" meme, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.

I guess Mr.King has mellowed out over the years. He would have been the second in line (behind me) back when we played in the Jurassic wanting to play Rammer Jammer and shove it up Bama's arse...........

TGBFTL has got to stop playing so much on Defense. The yelling doesn't start until the opposing offense is already under center

No, they Rammer Jammered Alabama during the LSU game--that's what was so weird. They didn't actually do the whole cheer from scratch--just inserted this part into the middle of one of the piped-in-music songs, I think the Gary Glitter one that everybody plays, but could've been a different song.

We only play when there's timeouts or turnovers on defense.

no, when they do that dumb drum beat now after a "big hit." Now, it's being constantly done on 3rd down. The yelling should never stop from 1st -4th down imo. The clapping and whatever with the arms may kind of look cool, but the fans should be yelling. Maybe the bass drums could help get the fans started and the voices take over?
