BCS - What happens if???

Scenario:
Undefeated Auburn loses SECCG
LSU wins out
All teams that are currently undefeated or with 1 loss lose future games to end up with 2 losses.
The top 2 spots in the BCS would likely be LSU and Auburn for NC, but the SEC east team gets the BCS auto berth. Could 3 SEC teams be in BCS?

Pretty sure that would mean all 3 would be AQs. The 2 team per conference limit doesn't apply until all the AQs are in I think.
Maybe lsumatt can help out.

The two team limit is hard...no exceptions.

Only 2 per conference regardless. SECCG loser does not get an auto birth. Not sure where you heard that.
Top 4 get auto birth in BCS unless three from same conference.
It is possible for LSU vs Auburn, but a lot would have to happen.

the SEC east team does not get anything AUTOMATICALLY.
IF they win the SEC cg, they get Sugar, otherwise, they will be lucky to be in the chik-fil-a ahead of Arky/Miss State who may have better records than the SEC east champ, at that point.
For example, when LSU beat Notre Dame 40-14 in the Sugar, LSU had 10-2 and finished 2nd in the SEC west to Ark, which then lost in the SEC champ game to Florida, becoming 10-3 in the process. Florida went to BCS champ game, and #2 in SEC west LSU went to Sugar.

yep.
11-1 LSU will have a shot at top 4, if they are 5 in humans, and #1 or #2 in computers, both ahead of Stanford, which has only lost to Oregon.

someone should start a stickied thread to discuss all this

One remote exception:
"No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings."
If Auburn and LSU are 1 and 2 after Auburn loses the SECCG we could have three from the SEC.

I meant if Auburn loses, but is still ranked in the top 2 with LSU, which is what the OP was talking about if I'm not mistaken.
LSU, Auburn, and the SECCG winner from the east would all go to the BCS.
LINK
Automatic qualification
1. The top two teams in the final BCS Standings shall play in the National Championship Game.
2. The champions of the Atlantic Coast, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, and Southeastern conferences will have automatic berths in one of the participating bowls through the 2013 regular season.
3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, or the Western Athletic Conference will earn an automatic berth in a BCS bowl game if either:
A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or,
B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.
No more than one such team from Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference shall earn an automatic berth in any year. (Note: a second team may be eligible for at-large eligibility as noted below.) If two or more teams from those conferences satisfy the provisions for an automatic berth, then the team with the highest finish in the final BCS Standings will receive the automatic berth, and the remaining team or teams will be considered for at-large selection if it meets the criteria.
4. Notre Dame will have an automatic berth if it is in the top eight of the final BCS Standings.
5. If any of the 10 slots remain open after application of provisions 1 through 4, and an at-large team from a conference with an annual automatic berth for its champion is ranked No. 3 in the final BCS Standings, that team will become an automatic qualifier, provided that no at-large team from the same conference qualifies for the national championship game.
6. If any of the 10 slots remain open after application of provisions 1 through 5, and if no team qualifies under paragraph No. 5 and an at-large team from a conference with an annual automatic berth for its champion is ranked No. 4 in the final BCS Standings, that team will become an automatic qualifier provided that no at-large team from the same conference qualifies for the national championship game.

Yes they do if they are top 2 in final BCS poll.
What I'm asking is what if 3 teams fall into aautomatic BCS situations.
Team A from SEC east wins SECCG to go to Sugar
Team B from SEC west is 1 in BCS standings
Team B from SEC west is 2 in BCS standings
How does the BCS get around the 2 team conference limit.

We need a thread like this stickied.

Get over yourself dude...
You have some possible what ifs, but no discussion about a 3 team auto qualify scenario

THE RULE:
the ONLY way a conference can have THREE teams in the BCS is if there are two teams ranked in the top 2 and the other is the AQ. This is the lone exception so it IS POSSIBLE. highly unlikely
