There's your delusional fanbase right there.
Asks my co-worker(bama grad) before the season what he thought they would do this year and he says undefeated and national champs again.
The way he said it showed me the insane delusion that most Alabama fans get ridiculed for.

From what I understand that statue is not even finished yet? Can anyone confirm?

LSU fans are no better. Plenty of people were ready to fire Miles after Auburn.

I don't think it is delusion.

I think Alabama expects to be in the race for the NC every year when the season starts and I don't see anything wrong with that. I think the goal should be the NC every year when you are a top tier SEC team. We will not get there this year but we have a good team and the NC will be our goal again next year.

Have you seen the video with Coleen meeting Saban at the airport?

Dude, a frickin' statue means NOTHING in your drive for a national championship every year- it has NOTHING to do with it. It is idiotic and just stupid to put up a statue of a current head coach. When they retire or leave in their own way then that's different. I just will NEVER, EVER understand the University of Alabama, and to be honest I really don't give a damn.

So tell me.
Why should every bama fan "expect" to get there every year?

Should you hope and have wild fantasies about going undefeated and winning the national championship every year?

Sure.

But don't go around telling everybody that you are a pencil in for the NC every year.

There is a certain method in which bama fans act as if they are better than everyone else and this delusional belief is carried by many bama fans i know. I am a huge lsu fan, and I think they have a hell of a program now...but i also realize a great year can still happen without a NC. All the stars must align for a NC season...they still may or may not for LSU this year. I do know this, alabama has had one nc in the last 18 years...so elite no more. Also, to be honest, LSU has owned alabama over the past decade, and if not for some terrible calls last year and a little pick 6 problem in 2008.....it could be 10-1 over past 11 seasons...as it is...8-3 ain't bad to a truly elite ball club...lol

They can't be happy being in the top conference and being an elite top 10 team.
They must all with one resounding voice proclaim to be the very best and everyone is beneath them.

Delusional is the only term that comes to mind

btw scoop....nice 17 point win prediction. AND, remember last week when you were defending miles and at the same time ridiculing him. You said he was a pretty good coach but nowhere near saban. I can tell you this, he is 2-2 lifetime against him, and just took HIS players and dominated saban and HIS players in the 2nd half. There is no quesiton on this, Les Miles Outcoached Nick Saban yesterday.

I agree, y'all kicked our arse and Miles outcoached Saban without a doubt. You will get no argument from me about that.

Good game Tigers.

Bama Scoop. Humility is a good thing. Bama is still a good team, but they are no longer great as the media was building them up to be. Maybe next year. You should have known that Lil' Nickie has a bad year after his NC.

I agree that we are still agood team and that is all I want. I want to know that we are in every game and have a shot if we get some breaks. There is a lot of luck that goes with winning a NC. We are a good team but we got beat yesterday by a better team .

They have done it for every Bama coach who won a natl. championship.

It's a tradition.

Just a history lesson so you gumps know the difference...when Bryant lost he'd say"I didn't have the boys ready..it won't happen again"...Lil Nicky says"They didn't execute, focus...we need to see who wants to be on this team"...Great euphenism from ego-maniac. BTW the statue has been delayed because the "hair wasn't right". LOl..fo' true.

Who cares if it's tradition.
It's delusional.

Hell if you want to keep with tradition at least wait till the guy dies to build a statue of him.

The statues are of coaches that have won NCs. I see no big deal with that. A NC is a big accomplishment.
