This week is a weird week. LSU fans know the team can win, but are mum because of the QB's, and the defending Champs fans who talked all kinds of shite last year, have been quiet.......that's very telling.

This week just feels different or off for some reason.

I am barely excited about watching this game.

It's weird, maybe I am just distracted with life.

Me too. It's not you, something about the team and the perception has fans conservative. Last year, the Rant was peppered with Bama fans, and we had Finebaum reports and that You Tube videos with that fat-arse Bama fan that made me sick.

Has Miles lost the majority of our fanbase with that AU game and all the struggles we have been having?

I would say that he has lost a bunch. Many fans are on the sidelines waiting for the team to play a complete game. No fan will bitch if the team plays hard and loses, it's just with bad effort, stupid play, poor coaching that has everyone quiet and waiting.....

Spoke to a few of my friends that are Bama fans and they are quiet too, they say the game could go either way. Normally those friends of mine would be hounding me all week, and talking smack.

Gumps are only cautiously optimistic, mainly because of their last big road game (the SC game) and the fact they have not been the same since.

You'd be quiet too if you were staring at the headlights of an oncoming les miles semi with no brakes about to flatten your arse

It's amazing to think what Miles is gonna do in today's game that will either have us celebrating with a mass booze binge or have us scratching our heads......

Loss to auburn coupled with bye week can zap a fan base's energy. I think the bye week was the biggest culprit.

But, is the unexpected actually reality with Les?

Bama fans came into the season ranked #1, thought it was their manifest destiny to repeat as undefeated natl.champs. Now they're having to hope Auburn loses just so they can get a shot at the SECCG. Had they come in as underdogs after a 7-5 season last year, then made it to 7-1 and going against the 7-1 Tigers, I guarantee you'd be seeing some trash-talking on this board by the Gumps!

you would expect him to change something or show improvement, so there's the "expected".

But when he doesn't do that for the 9th time in a row, THAT'S the unexpected!

So, yes, we can expect more of the "unexpected" from Les Miles. He said JJ was starting this week, so there we go.

What i am hearing from them is that they are worried about LSU's defense, and the big play possibility we have on Special Teams. Most importantly, of course, LSU's home field adv. They were humbled at SC.

Ya'll are hitting the nail on the head. I feel pretty good about our chances, but going to BR is never easy, and yalls D and ST are second to none.

to a good game,

i agree with most of this. i think some fans will bitch if we play a great game and lose; they'll find something miled did or didn't do. also, i think our team has played hard and with effort, i just think our offense is poorly coached, in all phases of the game. i feel like "show me something" before i get excited. i am as prepared as i can get for heartache and disappointment and coulda, shoulda, woulda, with our )&%$)&(*&(*offense.
