If the Saints coaching staff was in charge of the gameplan, practice all week and coaching in Auburn on Saturday, does LSU win?

My answer is no, but I'd be willing to hear the argument.

The issue I saw is that we got our butts handed to us on the line of scrimmage, and its hard to win any game when that happens.

ETA - One thing I do know is that LSU did not have 4 int's and 2 pick sixes.

IMO...
in order that most affected us...

1) O Line play
2) D Line Play
3) Play calling.

no QB can do anything with less than 3 secs.
..so we will never really know what the plays may have been for an entire game..
don't get me wrong...

Coaches affect ALL THREE areas, but players share some responsibility

So you don't think Sean Payton couldn't have used his system effectively with the players at LSU? You don't think he could recruit players to be successful there?

I think Sean Payton would be a hell of a coach at LSU. Its just food for thought.

Our troubles go deeper than one week of gameplan and preparation.

don't know if payton would do well with practically no QB to work with but I think we have slightly more success with the offense we still lose to auburn.

I think the saints struggles fall more on the superbowl hangover not poor coaching.

The Saints struggles are very similar. Poor OL Play is hampering QB development in BR. Poor OL play is negating a pretty damn good QB in New Orleans. On both teams the defense is earning their pay.
