I would love to see #10 Shepard run the read option. Many of the holes JJ has had #10 would of scored or had big gains on. Every team in the nation runs the wildcat or some form of it, but for some reason we don’t.

he's a WR now, Les doesn't want to confuse him.

Why? SO our O Line can get him killed? We have far deeper problems on this team than who should run wildwhatever. Frankly, they have gotten the ball in space some and he has been less than impressive IMO.

He's obviously the favorite bubble screen target.

It is that simple right?

How about the way in which we give him the ball? Catching it while not moving, and usually an inaccurate pass from JJ that is 2 seconds late? What is he supposed to do with that?

In the read option, I promise you he would be much more effective.

there's no way you could ever prove this.

listen to any football commentator or analyst because most if not all think the wildcat fad is over. people aren't surprised anymore and, and they know how to defend it.

and they are trying to us Shepard more, did you notice all the bubble screens to him? 5 of those for 20 yards with a long of 6. he's got to do something with the ball before he gets 15+ touches a game.

Quick, tell Nick Saban. Maybe he won't line up Ingram in the Wildcat against us because we have it all figured out. Just like we stopped Newton (not everyplay, but quite a bit of them were Wildcat plays... the 70 yd TD sure was).

I'm actually starting to like the idea of Ware as QB, Ridley as FB and Sheppard as TB with RR and TT out wide with D. Peterson at TE/H-back.
Run the triple option like Georgia Tech or Navy since we have no QB.
However, that would be LSU running the offense to fit our players which is not what LSU football is all about.

Tell that to Auburn, Cam Newton, and their offensive coordinator Gus Malazahn, the same guy who was Arkansas's offensive coordinator when Arkansas ran crazy with the wildcat with D Mcfadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis....

Idiot, the wildcat is alive and thriving at Auburn, we just saw it again this weekend

Sheppard could run that same style offense that Auburn runs. He doesnt have the size of Newton, but imagine the options he could go to.

what do you think the wildcat consists of? Half of Auburns plays were wildcat plays, with Newton either handing it to a sweeping tb and keeping it, or handing it up the middle or keeping it. Exactly the same plays Malzahn ran with Mcfadden and Jones, or Mcfadden and Hillis...

Malzahn was Arkansas's offensive Coordinator Mcfadden's senior season, and they ran wildcat all season just like Aubie and barely passed the ball..
What about that do you not get.

I think the QB ship might have sailed on Shepard, but I think he can do what Jefferson does much better than Jefferson does it. Jefferson's become a running QB, be it by virtue of his inaccuracy.
