Anyone else noticed that Russell can't seem to break tackles? I know he's a finesse style runner but sometimes it looks like a stiff breeze would blow him over. As soon as a defender makes initial contact with him, he's done.

He's been a disappointment to me. Some of it has to do with play calling to put him in a position to succeed, but he just doesn't seem to do anything special with the ball. After UNC game, I had high hopes, but still hoping.

Yes he has been a little of a letdown but most of it is not his fault. The formations they put him are the same from week to week lined up as an rb u know speed sweep then when he comes in motion another speed sweep. Forget about getting him the ball through the air either, no one can get a wr the ball these days

Should have gone to a school with an option based offense. Seems to be a great kid, but I do not think he is going to make a true impact at LSU. I hope I am wrong.
