It's almost official that the LSU-Alabama game on November 6th, 2010 will be on the SEC on CBS @ 2:30PM. I think the SEC on CBS television contract is very Political why does the SEC even have a contract with ESPN if CBS always gets the best SEC game of the week and they always get first pick. Another thing, November 6th 2010 is not an SEC controlled game date but obviously that doesn't matter. So ESPN which is worth much more money than CBS Sports Properties gets whatever games CBS doesn't want which is very wrong.

While it is likely a 2:30 PM CBS game, the official announcement won't be made until next Monday.

because CBS always get first pick with the SEC game of the week and it has been lsu-bama for the past three years. and they also said that CBS would show six Alabama games this season.

Your understanding of the TV contracts is piss poor and you shouldn't whine about that which you don't understand.

than tell me which televison network gets first pick out of all the SEC games for Saturday if it isn't CBS sports.

Pretty sure as long as there is a regular season SEC game being played, CBS has first dibs at broadcasting it

Because they want to showcase the best match-up each week?

I believe it's one primetime game and optional double-headers.
eta: Isn't there a double header on the Saturday after Thanksgiving?

It's not political, CBS pays for the right to have first pick of the SEC games.

Because there are 4 to 5 other games each week involving SEC teams and the SEC gets greater National viewership overall than the other conferences. More viewers = more advertising $$$$ for espn

What are you talking about?

is either drunk or stupid. Or better yet, a combo of both!
This is the kind of crazy stuff that drives me crazy when hangout out at large tailgates. People spouting off about things they really have no clue about.
