Was in on everything last night at North Caddo...heard some talk in the press box from some people that he wants LSU..also didn't know if it had been posted but they were also saying that Muschamp came and watched him last week...I know the rumors are always flying but I thought I would share what was said last night.

I would love to see him at LSU. He's definitely a big time recruit.

I know it's premium info, but it's on the TSD forum so I think I'm in the clear. A poster on there has said that Haley is on him bigtime and that LSU fans shouldn't worry about Rasco going elsewhere.

If it's a boo-boo, I'll delete this, but it's not a premium article, just in the forums

What are your opinions on his play after seeing him live?

I know that's directed at the OP, but I've seen him twice: once this year and once last year. I just don't understand why people on here think for some reason it's not a big loss if we don't get him. This kid is VERY talented. Great speed, great motor, kid NEVER gives up on a play. I've seen him run down a number of ball carriers that most d-linemen would have just stopped trying.

Not as strong as Montgomery, but a lot quicker.

Because they believe there is a possibility he may go elsewhere. Softening the blow.

I look at guys like Kindle and Orakpo from Texas when I think of Rasco, he's more Orakpo than Kindle though

That's my thoughts on the guy. I think some on here are "softening" the blow because UT has a made major plays at him.

How much weight do you think he can add?

It depends. Rivals has him at 228, while Scout's got him at 250, 24/7 has him at 247, and ESPN has him at 249. Obviously, I think Rivals is wrong, so if he's at the 245-250 mark, then I think he's fine right where he's at weight-wise. If you start adding more onto that much weight, then he would start losing considerable speed.

Now, he looks a little chubby (going off of pics on Rivals/Scout. Look at 12 and 13 on Rivals), so if he got to a built 240, he would be scary good

Most are trying to soften the blow in case he goes elsewhere. Others see him as a OLB in a 3-4 more than a 4-3 DE.

He's gonna have to stay around the 240-250 range. Montgomery is at 6'4" 240, so I would use that as an example for Rasco

I can see us using standing up a defensive end up more often in the coming up years with the talent and personnel we are bringing in

I know it would be a little difficult, but if Chavis could add in a little 3-4 for passing downs, allowing guys like Rasco, Mingo, and possibly Maggit the opportunity to stand up and pass rush, he would have a lot of success with that

Rasco would be a big loss. He reminds me of Sam Montgomery, which is definitely a compliment.
